Polar Bear Plunge at The Lakes – 12th Anniversary — Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024
The Polar Bear Plunge at The Lakes is happening on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023.
The annual Polar Bear Plunge held each January at The Lakes of Tempe is our key fundraising event. Polar Bears earn their bragging rights by plunging into the cold community swimming pool. For those not crazy enough to jump, you can support the cause and stay dry as a Teddy Bear.
2023 marks the 11th anniversary of the worth-wild event. Since the inaugural Polar Bear Plunge in 2012, Team Asa has raised more than $90,000 to ensure individuals with differentabilities are able to participate in social and recreational activities. Please help us continue to do so by joining us!
PRE-PLUNGE PARTY — Friday, Jan. 19, 2024
You don’t want to miss the PRE-PLUNGE PARTY! Polar Bears and Teddy Bears are able to register on-site, pick-up their awesome long-sleeve T-shirt and bid on some awesome silent auction and raffle prizes or purchase a Plunge & Go item.
Please join us from 4:30-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 19 at Spokes on Southern, 1470 E. Southern Ave., Tempe 85282. Spokes will once again donate 20% of all food purchases to Team Asa, so please bring your friends and family to enjoy Happy Hour or dinner.
ALL proceeds from the plunge, silent auction and raffle will help enable individuals with differentabilities to participate in social and recreational activities. We hope to see you there!

Tempe Adapted Adventure Day — Saturday, March 2, 2024 – Save the Date
We are honored to have co-founded Tempe’s Adapted Adventure Day with the Suzy Foundation. This fun-filled day has been designed for individuals with differentabilities and their families. Our adapted adventures are sure to make everyone feel like a Superhero!
We have missed hosting this awesome event. We are excited to announce the event will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
