The Polar Bear Plunge at The Lakes is happening on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026

The annual Polar Bear Plunge held each January at The Lakes of Tempe is our key fundraising event. Polar Bears earn their bragging rights by plunging into the cold community swimming pool. For those not crazy enough to jump, you can support the cause and stay dry as a Teddy Bear.

2026 marks the 14th anniversary of the worth-wild event. Since the inaugural Polar Bear Plunge in 2012, Team Asa has raised more than $120,000 to ensure individuals with differentabilities are able to participate in social and recreational activities. Please help us continue to do so by joining us!

Pre-Plunge Party & Silent Auction returns on Friday, Jan. 23, 2027

Please join us for the Pre-Plunge Party. Hang out with some really cool Bears. Register for the Polar Bear Plunge and pick-up your commemorative T-shirt. Catalyst will donate 15% of all food and beverage purchases to Team Asa, so bring your friends and family to enjoy Happy Hour or dinner.

Team Asa is a volunteer-run 501 (c) 3 organization that enables individuals with differentabilities the opportunity to participate in social and recreational activities. The Pre-Plunge Party and Polar Plunge are our primary fundraising events. We’ll have LOTS of great sports, dining and entertainment items that you can win.

Tempe Adaptive Adventure Day — Saturday, March 6, 2027 – Save the Date

We are honored to have co-founded Tempe’s Adaptive Adventure Day with the Suzy Foundation. This fun-filled day has been designed for individuals with differentabilities and their families. Our adaptive adventures are sure to make everyone feel like a Superhero!

The free inclusive event returns on Saturday, March 6, 2027.
